Who to go w/for homeowners Ins.?

Our closing date should be coming up soon and have to set this up asap. Not quite sure where to go for homeowners insurance. I just switched my auto ins. to Allstate but they told me I have to be with them for 6 months until we're able to get homeowners ins. (this just recently went into affect with them???)
any suggestions on who I should try?

we have geico but thats because we were both customers of them but they beat any price..check them out

We used Liberty. Geico was alot more than them for ours. We have Geico car insurance too.

We used state farm. I have Geico for my car insurance and they will give you a discount if you have both insurances with them, but even with the discount, state farm still beat them for my needs.

Actually in the process of going with Amica but now they saw that a claim was filed and need to know that it was repaired I guess not all insurance co.'s do this check but I've heard that Amica is pretty strict.
Just when we don't need anything else holding us up, this comes along

definitely shop around & compare prices. you may find that different companies have very different prices.
