Who do you invite from work?? There are people I work with every day and then there are the bosses and then other people in other departments. Do I Invite only the people I work with and the bosses or everyone?? I am so confused about this.

yeah thats what I was thhinking. Like my boss and the people I work with direectly and then there are a few people who I talk to every day. But also alot of these people know my dad cause he has worked for the compnay for like 20 years. So I don't know what to do. So confused!

I am so confused because at one point in time..FH and I worked in the same office. Everyone was really close to us at work, and then no one knew....so when I got engaged everyone was like WHAT....lol but they were happy...and tons of girls at my job are helping me...lol
Some people actually told me they better be invited! We are definatley going to invite some in the second mailing.
But my advice is to definatley invite your boss and those who you work with directly
are we obligated to invite our bosses? i think we would feel very uncomfortable knowing they were there. i dont think we will invite coworkers because this could increase our guest list by 30%!

You do not need to invite work people. The only people I invite from work are people who I'm friendly with outside of work.

yeah, i am having a hard time with this as well. i definately know i am inviting people in my direct dept. b/c i feel pretty close with all of them in one way or another and i really want them to be there. there is another dept. within my dept. who i work closely with....but....i dont really feel that close with anyone in that dept. and i dont think any of them would expect to be invited. so i dont plan on iviting them. they would just be happy to see the pictures when i get back. BUT....the problem is....there are a few 'assistants' who work for both my dept. and the other dept. that are always with us. a few of them are very touchy about things like this and i KNOW they would be offended if i didnt invite them. which to me is very childish b/c it's not like i hang out with them outside of work or anything. and some of them i honestly cant stand although they do not know it i am sure. so i am so torn as to whether i should invite them. i feel like if i dont they wont want to talk to me (which, like i said is ridiculous but they are like that) ...but at the same time i dont want to invite them just for that reason! if i DO invite them i dont want to have them bring guests b/c that just adds on more ppl who i dont know.....but.....the ppl. in my dept. i want to invite with guests....so i know that will then cause drama. (they will prob say....'oh, so why did u invite THEM with guests and not us').....either way i lose! people are so ridicuous sometimes, i wish they would just be understanding and not make things so difficult. if you are following me here...any suggestions or thoughts??
by the way...to answer your question...i am inviting my direct boss (supervisor of my direct dept)....but not the over head of the full dept.
We decided not to invite anyone from the office. We are already above our desired guest list and just can not afford to invite more people.
we are inviting no one from work.
we are both inviting people from work. I am inviting the 2 head bosses and my supervisor and 4 women I am friends with. FH is inviting a few more than that. We're not going crazy with it though
my department is really small, it's only seven of us management included. So I am inviting everyone.

Co workers you see frequently or are friendly with..your immediate supervisor (there is no need to go further up unless you are very friendly with them and talk to them on a regular basis)
