i have 10 brides maids, and 8 groomsmen. i want to invite everyones bfs /gfs. but i guess i have to invite the out of towners too??!!! its gonna be like 80 and up!!! thats crazy!!!

We're inviting our immediate families, the whole BP (6 BM and 6 GM) with their significant others, our readers, godparents and grandparents. All in all we'll have 25-30 peeps.

I've never heard the rule about inviting OOTers to your RD... and that would be impossible for us since the majority of our guests at the wedding are OOTers, we'd have over 100 people at the RD. We just did BP, their guests/spouses, and people directly involved with the wedding.

We invited bp and their significant others. Some of our bp are single so they came alone, some brought their SO, but some of bp who are in relationships their SO was not able to make it to the RD bc of work or for some other reason so keep that in mind.
Also invited our readers. Rb and FG with their parents, rb's father was in our bp so his parents would've been there regardless.
My grandmother and uncle.
We didnt have alot of OOT guests for our wedding. BUT since we had our rehearsal dinner on thursday, only 1 oot guest was here, it was the daughter of one of our readers. The rest of our OOT guests were not arriving until the next day or some were came in that Saturday. Although we only had about 10 oot guests coming to our wedding
What you can do is have the RD a few days before or week before when there wont be OOT guests.
We had about 45 ppl at our RD

ours is going to be small - we are having it out in LI the night before the wedding - Us, Our Parents, and the Bridal Party - the MOH and BM are husband and wife and the other 4 people in the bridal party are coming alone (their SO's are coming out to LI the actual day of the wedding) then we are going back to the hotel and the guys are staying with FH and the girls are hanging with me....

We aren't inviting out of towners. if we did we would be looking at inviting half the guest list. We are looking at about 40 people. Just the bridal party, their spouses, reader, parents of bridal party and our parents/grandparents.

We are doing ours on thursday b4 & most ooT will show up friday. We can't afford to do it all. If we do it this way it's still around 35 peple.

We aren't inviting OOT to ours, either. I asked FIL's if I could have my 1 friend who will be here from Michigan come to the RD just b/c otherwise he'd be sitting in his hotel room alone (he isn't bringing a guest). He's the only OOT coming. We have around 25-30 people coming to the RD in total.

I am def not inviting out of towners, I really dont think thats necessary

My friend could not invite the oot's to her RD, but everyone was invited to the bar next door afterwards, we all paid for our own drinks, and had a really good time.
