Who used to roller skate and do they still do as an adult..

I'll admit I'm a nerd...I really want to go roller skating!! I haven't gone since before the baby and I know USA in Massapequa still has adult nights on Monday nights after 8:00.

So who is with me?? It's a great form of exercise and it brings me back.....

dont feel bad!!!! me and my bff are going soon. theres a gay club that turns into a roller rink on wednesday nights.. you can skate AND drink.. does it get any better?!?!

That has to be in the city, right Lolita? That would be cool I guess (the drinking part that is). I have a few friends who live an alternative lifestyle, maybe they'd be up to going w/their significant others.

i actually used to skate competively! like figure skating on roller skates. i haven't been since college. dh keeps trying to persuade me to go in central park.

yes in the city... eh, who cares who goes.. go your your DH, no one cartes.. its all about fun.

lol but i love gay men and they love me,. so i wont feel unconfortable. when FH said he'd go with us was like 'r u surew u want to?'

Yeah, definitely in my pre-teen/early teen years.

I also took a rollerblading class thru the New School about 8 years ago at a club in the city (DAMN, I can't remember the name!).

I used to friday and saturdays at commack roller rink. But we are talking jr high/high school.

Me too!!!

Nowadays I rollerbalde! They is a path in Kings PArk I go on (through the old psycho center). I don't do it in the winter though!
I would love to go to an indoor rollerrink! Although I like outdoors for the uphills and downhills.

I used to roller skate at oh, crap, I can't remember the name! It was in East Meadow on the Tpke.
I had a birthday party there when I was like 9.

wasn't that one just called levittown roller rink? that's where i used to skate for a while too, but then my coach switched to bayshore so we went there.

I think it was called Laces.

I used to rollerskate all the time when I was a kid.

I tried a few years back and definitely lost the coordination...it is not like riding a bike!

Maybe it was the Levittown Roller Rink. I thought it had some other name. It turned into a Rockbottom (and then Staples I think).

I used to LOVE the COMMACK ROLLER RINK!!!!

It was soo COOOL to have the pom poms...I had blue and white ones
with a bell in the middle

OMG do you remember them?? And the flourescent laces. I remember feeling very cool w/all my fresh gear on. I remember Levittown very well. I remember feeling all king w/myself when a guy would ask me to skate or if he won me a stuffed animal out of the crane game machine.

Commack Roller Rink was waaaaayyy cool. I felt so bad when they tore it down.

uh, me, not jenna elfman.... maybe she did too, who am i to say? but i would doubt it would be a rink on LI
