My mom just asked me and I have no idea...does she walk down alone or with another relative or my brother???? What is typical?

Re: Who walks mom down the aisle?
I am an only child and my mom is having this guy Pat walk her down. Pat is a year younger then me, and his mom and my mom lived across the street from each other there entire lives. Pat and I grew up together. He is the closest thing I have as a brother so he's walking my mom down the aisle

Re: Who walks mom down the aisle?
Anyone of any significance can walk her down the aisle. My brother walked my mom down when my other brother got married (and then walked down in the BP). I've also seen Moms brother walk her down or someone close to her.
We will have both of our mothers walk in together (my parents are divorced and FHs father passed away). They will walk in together and light the unity candle.

Betty, my brother is in my BP as well...how did he walk down twice? Did he walk around the whole church in order to walk down again?

Re: Who walks mom down the aisle?
One of my brothers was in the BP, the other was not. The one not in the BP walked my mom down the aisle.

Yep, he walked her down and then walked back up the side aisle. It all worked out perfectly

Re: Who walks mom down the aisle?
Since I do not have a brother and my cousins (my mom's nephews) are walking my Grandmother down the aisle, my Godfather (my mom's brother-in-law) is going to walk my Mom down the aisle. My Mom asked him because when my parents got married, he walked my Grandmother (my mom's mom) down the aisle.

Re: Who walks mom down the aisle?
Although both of my younger brothers are in the wedding party, I would like to ask them to walk mom down the aisle. It won't only be a special moment but also a great photo opportunity.

Re: Who walks mom down the aisle?
my mom walked down with my uncle.
I would also suggest your brother (if you have one) or grandfather, close friend, etc.

Re: Who walks mom down the aisle?
Both of my brothers are groomsmen. One bro will escort my mother, the other one will escort my grandmother, then get their a$$es in line for the procession

Re: Who walks mom down the aisle?
My 'wanna be brother' is walking my mom down the aisle. Long story, but he is the perfect candidate to walk with my mom. She started tearing up when I told her I wanted him to walk her.

Re: Who walks mom down the aisle?
My brother who was also a goomsmen walked my Mom down the asile, circled back and walk down again with my BM (my SIL-his wife). Our nephew walked with my MIL (DH's father is deceased), it was fitting since she raised him and was more a Mom than a Grandmother to him.
