Who wants to help me plan a bday party?

FH's 30th bday is Nov 25th, a week before our wedding! So people have been asking him 'What are your big plans for the big 30th?' and his reply is 'Nothing, I'm getting married the following week' I feel bad. I want him to have a fun day. Anyone have any ideas of what I could plan as a surprise to him that obvi won't cost ?

something at home? (if your house/apt allows it)
Millers, Croxley's or some type of Ale House

Hm. You could do like a surprise Potluck party? Just provide booze, one main entree and cake and ask everyone to bring something potluck style.

Or if you want something more low key how about a small intimate dinner party with just him and parents and/or siblings if any?

I agree, birthday esp 30th should be recognized!

Tell him you want to have a romantic dinner with just the two of you, but head out to a bar where all of his friends are waiting for you! This way it's a bit of a surprise and cost efficient.

Or, if you have a place, throw a party. Get a keg ($100) and some heros. It's inexpensive and maybe ask friends to not get gifts, but put in $5 to go towards food and drinks. Even if you pay for it yourself, it won't cost too much!
