Who watches CSI??

On last nights episode, why did the father not want to do anything?? Because he felt bad that he couldn't stop it, and was ashamed???

Or were the attackers threatening them??

And was the girl run down or shot??

My opinion is that the father felt he was supposed to be the 'protector' of the family and he was forced helpless in the situation with the daughter. They literally had to hear the entire thing and they couldn't do anything. I think he was trying to protect the family from any further stress. In the end, I think he knew he had to do what was best anyway.
I thought the girl was shot in the driveway.

Okay so they were not specific as to what happened?? Like noone said she was shot, I thought I missed something.

I saw the pool of blood, and the groceries, jsut wasn't positive.

But the point was that these thugs came back and did this to her.
