Who went with you to shop and order your BM dresses?
I first went with my Mom and MOH to go looking. And now I want everyone to go on Saturday to look at the dress before we order them to make sure they like the dress. But some people can't make it on Saturday, because they feel it's too early. What are your opinions?

it's not too early. all my girls (with the exception of my two youngest ones) have bought their dresses already and i'm getting married two weeks after you. i have 11 girls, so shopping was an absolute NIGHTMARE. i wanted to get it over with as quickly as possible...i tried to go in 'shifts' with the girls...a few here and there... it all worked out in the end.

I don't think it is too early either!! I am going next week with my sister (MOH). I also agree that too many girls may be a circus; or at least extra aggravation!!! Shifts might be a good idea!

MY MOM AND MY MOH CAME WITH ME. wE SAW A DRESS WE REALLY LIKED AND WHEN THE TIME CAME TO TAKE THE OTHER GIRLS, ONLY MY MOH AND 1 BRIDESMAID CAME. I KNEW THE 2 OUT OF STATE GIRLS WOULDN'T BE THERE BUT WAS EXPECTING MY OTHER 2 GIRLS TO COME, BUT THEY CANCELLED ON ME THE DAY BEFORE.(AFTER I HAD GIVEN THEM 3 WEEKS NOTICE). bUT IN THE END THE GIRLS THAT DID COME, LOVED THE DRESS, SO WE ORDERED IT. THE OTHERS BLEW THEIR CHANCE TO GIVE THEIR OPINION SO, OH WELL!

Thanks for your opinions! I think I might just cancel this weekend, depending on what my BM from the city wants to do. Otherwise I'll show her the dress and order it in January or sometime around then.

I don't think it's early either...though I could see where some might since new lines come out at the beginning of the year. (But if you've chosen a classic dress/color, there shouldn't be an issue.) Why not just go with those that are interested (as a compromise for your sanity )...and see how it goes.

at first, my sister-MOH picked out two dresses. One that complimented my dress very nicely, the other was a seperate. I showed all the girls the pictures, and they all hated the first dress! And I didn't care for it either. So.............. I am doing seperates. Each girl got to pick out their own top and everyone will be comfortable in what they are wearing that day. Believe it or not, I got 12 girls in all different tops and they were all happy!

I chose the dress myself, had my Mom look at it and got her opinion, and then told my BMs what I had selected.

I don't think it is too early. I went by myself at first then my mom and MOH(my sister) came on another day to take a look and give the seal of approval!
