We're looking at late 2009/early 2010. We just got engaged on Christmas Eve and want to have a lot of time to plan and save and make it great.

I say Congratulations to you...2010 will be here before you even know it. we got engaged on 7/16/06 and picked the date and place at the end of october in 2006. it's the middle of january 2007 already. we waited so that we can enjoy being engaged and not rush around 2 seconds after being engaged and picking a place. he and i are together for 5 1/2 years now. neither one of us is planning on leaving so there is no rush. weddings are so expensive and we are doing it bigger than what we originally planned but it's what we want. be happy about your date and try not to listen to anyone else but you and him. and if your not having people pay for your wedding, or help pay for things, or if your not financially able to do it sooner, then do it when you can. even if you were able to do it sooner and wanted to wait that's your buisness. don't stress.
