They can only give you the name if they paid with a credit or debit card. but if they paid by cash they wont know.

i had the same thing happen but on my baby registry and i went to babiesrus and was like *** and they said that someone got it then returned it the next day but in the end we did it. i think what happened was my aunts who got it might have not taken the gift receipt and someone picked up and took the item off the rack and returned it with the gift receipt in this ecomony people are tight for money and will do anything
