Whoever saw Brokeback Mountain...

what did Heath Ledger say at the end..when he was standing by his closet ?

I didnt hear what he said...I went to this movie by myself ( my hubby didnt want to go !)

I don't remember him saying anything!!!

I remember him folding his daughter's sweater, opening the closet, and lovingly touch the shirt - but I don't think he spoke...

BTW - I think you and i are the only ones in LIW that saw this movie - I posted a while back and no one responded!!!

As his eyes welled up with tears, he said 'Jack, I swear.....' but then just trailed off. I saw this movie night before last by myself too. DH didn't want to see it.

I would guess that he was saying - I swear, if I had the choice to do it again, I would have had that farm with you... or, I swear, you are always in my heart...

I think the point is, it's up to us to feel what he is thinking - oh my god - what a heartbreaking movie... My FH and I were crying at the end...

He got beaten up... I think Anne Hathaway was in denial, but she knew, and Heath realized that that was what happened...

I mean - they story was so rehearsed, and she looked so pale and in shock, and she wasnt surprised when he said how they were at brokeback together when they were younger...

FYI - I read somewhere that the area the movie was about was where Matthew Shephard was beaten and killed, so Heath really had a good reason for not wanting to be out about the relationship...

That was so sad. I still have those images of when he was beaten in my mind, even though I know it's not real. I think they could have edited a lot out of the movie though, it was a lot of just standing around the mountain....I loved it though....And they are both so hot!
