Whoohooo I am one step closer to ordering my invites (Help wanted from you guys)

Neither of us really care what the invite says as long as it includes my Father’s Name, his Mother’s Name and ours, plus gives location of the wedding and something like “Reception to immediately follow” at the end.

The toughie part for me was the Chinese side. I finally got the wording and font down and the ‘OK’ from his mother that it was good to go.

So we’re gonna order them on Friday!!! So anxious.

Anyone have some sample wording for wedding and reception at the same locale? I want them to start with Mr & Mrs Dad’s first name Last Name
and
Mrs. Jim’s Mom’s Name
would like to invite to you ….blah blah blah
of their children
Veronica N
&
K Jimmy
On Oct 23rd (how do you say this?)
How do you give the location and the time too?

Reception to immediately follow.



Any suggestions would be great!!!

I feel like such a Tom boy about this.. I really just don't CARE what the hell those invites say really. Jim and I looked at wording last night..

Love.... Joy.... joining.. blah blah
None of it moved us in anyway We're really not UNromantic its just we dont like anything we've seen. So we decided to just use the basics. Besides.. on the Chinese side it's just the basics anyway.

The only difference is on the Chinese side it's the Groom's family that is mentioned first, then the bride. Not that anyone who reads English would know the difference.

oh yeah that's right, on mine, I put the adress under than location name.
I'm getting maried at a church though.
So it was
Holy Trinity Episcopol Church
120 Jerusalem Avenue
Hicksville, New Yorkso just sub in your hall info.

The street address is optional, you can just do the name & city.

My mom voted for the address, so I put it. I didn't care much.

And one point & said I was just going to send a group email- are ya coming to wedding? its on October 9th at 4. much easier.

Yes, the ceremony & reception are at the same place.

Then I think you write

Hall Name
City, State Zipcode

Then the directional card should have the actual address on it - along with the directions.
