Who's marrying a police officer (P.O.)? Or happens to be a P.O. themselves?

It feels very weird! I still have trouble referring to myself as Sgt! When I pick up the phone at my command, I almost always slip and say PO... too funny!

No. But we met when we did work in the same command. After a PO gets promoted, they get transferred out of the borough. But FH was transferred out of the pct. that we met in- about 2 years ago! It's better that way, since we worked midnights together and would be running around, backing each other up on heavy jobs...it was crazy!

I hear ya! I find that most P.O.'s I know are either with another P.O. or with a teacher (as is my case).

One of my BM is in the same command as her boyfriend. It works out nicely for her as he tends to get/give her collars as he has a lot more time than her. He previously worked in NYC then started over when he went through the academy with her in Suffolk.

No joke! FH is in the city, but he likes it. He says he wants to be busy while he is still young. He often jokes if he were to work in LI he would be in charge of giving tickets for lawns in needing of cutting.

I agree with your FH! It's sooo quiet on the Island! I may do a NYPD garter, but only my FH will see it, as we are not doing the garter/bouquet toss. I also may incorporate this monogram that someone made for me...

My future father in law was a CO at Riker's...keep him happy at home, it sux your soul working there!

I was in a PO wedding this June, BEST WEDDINGS EVER!! Too bad my FH is a Loan Underwritter...whooooohooo!! CRAZY hahaha nah
