This is the biggest pain in the butt for me so far. It's a fall wedding and I can't seem to decide on anything! I've gone from a deep blue (but not navy) to brown-ish, to gold-ish and to green. I cannot seem to makeup my mind on what's going to look good in the fall with flowers. I was thinking deep red and orange flowers for the BM. Can anyone help me decide? It seems like such a difficult feat but I would be so grateful!!!

Re: Who's good creating color schemes?
Why don't you talk to your fiance and see what he likes? If you start with one color you both like, you can start looking at photos for inspiration and choose a combo that will be perfect for both of you!
Try to approach it like it's not a HUGE question about wedding planning... just say 'honey, what's your favorite color?' or 'if you were going to frame a picture of us, what color frame would you put us in so we look best?'

Re: Who's good creating color schemes?
My favorite color is blue (not too much of a girly girl). FH's favorite colors are blue and green. I was thinking of a deep blue but not navy cause that would be too close to black (tux colors). Just don't know if the red and orange flowers would look good with it. I like the idea of making it look like a fall wedding since, surprise, it's in the fall. LOL. I just keep switching my choices so often.

How about going on wedding websites and looking at inspiration boards?

I tried that but wasn't sold by anything. Actually it steered me away from my original idea of the darker blue with red and orange flowers. It's so stressful!

Blue and green can be GORGEOUS!!! I wouldn't worry about matching the season -- I mean, you can, but it's not necessary at all.
Here's some blue and green pics:

What about Royal blue with light green accents, or Baby Blue with Emerald accents? Then you can get both?
We are doing Royal Blue, not Navy Blue, with Silver and Cream

Re: Who's good creating color schemes?
I love fall colors! I wanted to get married in the fall just so I can have red and orange as my wedding colors. I have the seen blue and purple and it looks gorgeous and I think it would also work for the fall.
one idea...go to arts/crafts store and look at the different color papers. i dragged my FH to one and we played with rearranging the papers together to see what we liked together and what we didnt.
at that point, i felt a little bit more comfortable about looking at flowers, dresses, invites, etc
it definately helped. so its a suggestion.
good luck

Re: Who's good creating color schemes?
Did you get your dress yet? If not, I would say to hold off on thinking abotu colors until then! I thought I was going to get a 'crisp' white dress and I was thinking of crisper color schemes like yellow or dark purple. But in the end I ended up with a very romantic and soft looking ivory dress with lace. I then ended up choosing sage green dresses with ivory sashes, and I will have peach details - basically, MY dress ended up changing the styling of what I envisioned. It also helped my floral decision too, to go with 'softer' flowers like peonies and hydrangea as opposed to tulips, etc.

My advice is to start looking through a ton of inspiration boards. Once something takes your breath away, make them your colors :)

Re: Who's good creating color schemes?
I cannot thank you guys enough! The inspiration boards are wonderful! I think I'm set that the bridesmaids dresses are going to be a deep royal blue color. The green and white bouquets look great with it. It's not traditional fall but I think it might work. Red and orange flowers are still an option but we shall see.
