The overall look of our reception will be 'elegant', but we're walking into the hall to FH's favorite college football song, we're getting him a grooms cake made like the stadium. We're in the midst of finding a vendor that will custom make reversable vests for us. Our favors will be buckeye balls (chocolate and peanut butter balls).......
I'm sure we'll think of other things closer to the wedding,.......

I wouldn't say ours is themed by any means...but we are incorporating a Yankees ice sculpture and grooms cake....That makes FH happy, so it makes me Happy

Well, you probably already know all of this, but I figure I'll add to the thread of sports themed brides!
Our main theme is the Yankees, so our colors are navy and white. MOH, Jr BM, FG dresses in navy and white. Tables named and numbered after players. Our BP will walk into the same song the Yankees take the field to and possibly be announced as a lineup too...I'm hoping we can get the Yankees announcer, Bob Sheppard to record announcements. Nuts, huh? heehe!
Our placecards will be tickets (elegantly designed by my sis of course!), possibly attached to bags of peanuts and cracker jack (elegantly packaged of course!). And...crazy as it sounds, instead of ribbon wands or bubbles when we come out of the church, we'll have navy and white penants waved around us!! Our favor will be a giant beer mug!
Our secondary theme is actually musical- Bon Jovi! another reason why we got together, so all of our major moments of the night will be by accompanied by a Bon Jovi song.

OH, NO NO NO NO.....I didn't forget about you! I knew that as soon as I hit the 'add new topic' button, some sort of signal would hit you no matter where you were, making you come to the computer to reply!!!!
I have to say that I LOVE Bon Jovi! His was the first concert I ever attended!!! It was the Superman Tour concert!!!!! YAY!!!!
I may have to stalk your wedding out!!

Here's the thing- the weddings that i've enjoyed the most are the ones where it's obvious that the bride and groom have really made it their own. I had two friends of mine do their tables as different places from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Navy and white is a great color combo, and the people that know you and love you know how big yankee fans you are. I'm sure it will be awesome, sis!
