Unfortunately I have a relative with a history of stealing. I don't think it's an issue anymore, but I'm still concerned. Who do you usually designate card watcher? I don't want to ruin anyone's good time by giving them this responsibility, but I don't want to worry over it. Any suggestions?

Re: Who's in charge of collecting the gifts?
I was told that one of the people who work there would be bringing them up to the bridal suite for us

I will probably give them to my dad to hold if I get any early in the evening.

Well, the coat check lady at my wedding was the caterer's mother and she received all of the wrapped presents. As for the cards, my grandma made me the most awsome 'pocketbook' - it got so many complements. By the end of the night it was swolen shut. She made it 11inches wide and 4 inches deep and 7 inches high and that was not enough room for all of the cards. But it lloked great!
