Who's not doing a receiving line???

We ARE, but only because I am not doing table visits. I have too many tables! I actually just broke the news to mom haha....she wasn't happy. What can you do. We're gonna greet people at the CH too.

Are you doing table visits? I would think that if you're doing them, then it's fine not to have a receiving line. You can always thank whoever you saw at the church for coming then? If you're iffy about it and not into it, I would just think about scrapping it.

I want to do it but I also want to take pictures with family inside the church and the logistics of it are bothering me. I want more pics at the park then 'outside the church'.

We will probably do table visits.

I know there are quite a few coming to the ceremony that will not be at the reception so I figured it would be a nice way for them to congratulate us... but to exit the aisle, then go outside the church, then come back in for pictures is hurting my brain... lol

Hahaha! Well, my FSIL did a receiving line, and even though a ton of family came, it ran very smoothly. We all lined up outside, everyone came through and said hello...then once everyone started to leave we went back inside with the family to take pictures. I can see this maybe turning into chaos, but if you warn the correct people beforehand (like grandparents, etc.) that they need to go back into the church after the guests leave maybe it will be easier?

The logistics of EVERYTHING is insane!

Do you have a DOC? If you do I bet that would make the receiving line a lot easier. I feel like maybe I should bring a megaphone!

Yes I do have a DOC........ and I think we'll have about 45-50 ppl at church (HOPEFULLY AT LEAST) because most of them are out of town and/or in the BP/relatives

About 10 of my coworkers may be coming too - they are not invited to the reception...

I'll ask my DOC

We didn't because we were on a tight Schedule and I didn't want to rush through pics and wanted no to make it to CH. But of my Photographer was late for absolutly no reason and ruined that plan!

We didn't do a line instead we went to cocktail hour and greeted everyone then.

We were kinda up in the air about it but when we walked outta the church it just kinda happened as ppl started to walk out. Now looking back I think it kinda woulda been rude to just have left while guests were leaving and are expecting it also

We didn't do a line, nor did we go around table to table.

We greeted as many people as posisble during cocktail hour.

We do not plan on receiving line or table visits. We are not seeing each other beforehand and getting married at the RH so all pics during cocktail hour. They can greet us on the dance floor or as we roam around. I want to enjoy and not spend half the time at tables

I am NOT doing a receiving line b/c of time. Im afraid that we will hit a lot of traffic going from church in Malverne to RH in Babylon on a Friday afternoon.

Thanks for your input ladies....

We have decided that we will have just a little gathering outside the church after guests exit, they can cheer and clap as we walk out. We have bubbles that guests can take as they exit. We will need the help of our DOC to make sure people 'stick around for a bit'

Then we'll walk back in to take pictures.

Receiving line if any would be at the church because we have guests going to church that we'd want to greet that won't be at CH or reception.
