You work directly with the felony bureau helping victims of violent crimes with filing for restitution, providing emotional support, escorting to court and sheilding them from the Media and helping people get into shelters and relocation services. I got to work all the cases that were in the paper in the Bronx. It was really cool. I loved it.

When I worked there about 10 years ago I made about 25,000 a year. I am sure its a lot more now. Its worth at least a call. I would think about going back as a staff therapist if I moved back to NY. Contact the Bronx DA's office and ask for Sophia Morris. I don't know if she is still there- it was years ago. If not, the unit is called the Crime Victim's Assistance Unit- NOT victims assistance which works with misdeaminors. That job sucks!!

My absolute pleasure- It must be the guidance counselor in me but I love helping people with their careers You really should be in a job where you provide emotional support to people. I think you talents are being wasted in a job you don't like. You are worth so much more than that!!!
