I've booked all my major things already:RH (ceremony will be there also), florist, dj, photo/video.

Me and fh are paying for everything, with the exception to my dress and video my mom is paying for those

Welcome to the 2010 boards. So far, I've only booked my RH and I'm meeting with my priest this evening. We're having a small wedding (110) at the Fox Hollow.

There are a lot of places that will do 125+ Jericho Terrace, Westbury Manor, Chateau Briand, North Ritz Club and The Riviera spring to mind.

You'll find some girls here have booked DJ and photographers and florists but you still have plenty of time.

Oh, and my FH and I are paying for the wedding ourselves.

Edited because I misread: If you're looking for RH that do >125 there are a lot of THEM too. Milleridge Carriage House, Jericho Terrace, Westbury Manor, Chateau Briand, Crest Hollow CC, Woodbury CC, the list goes on and on...

Welcome!!! And Congrats!!!

I would suggest maybe doing a Friday or Sunday. Even Saturday afternoon, those times and days require a lower minimum.

Also look at the places that have multiple rooms, they usually have a smaller one for accomodate smaller weddings

welcome and congrats! you can definitely shop around for smaller venues... i am booked at the Fox Hollow and if i was having a smaller wedding i would have booked the Winter Garden Pavilion room.. it is beautiful! Also the Garden room at the Westbury Manor was really nice and i think the minimum in there was 100 when i asked... there are many more venues that will accomodate your wedding, don't worry!

Good luck and keep us posted!

I booked at the Fox Hollow too. It really is a beautiful place and worth checking out if you haven't done so yet.

Don't worry about not having anything done yet. You have plenty of time to book everything and more importantly, more time to $ave!!!!!

Welcome!!!!

FH and I are paying for everything (well, more me putting down deposits and stuff)

We are having 100 people, Def check out places like

Fox Hollow (we are booked there, min of 100)
Jericho Terrace
Westbury manor
The Watermill
George Washington Manor
Thatched Cottage
Chateau Briand
Chateau La Mer

These halls all will have weddings around 125 people.

ughh i'm in the same boat. however, i have not run into a problem with 125 (thats what i'm planning and sticking to!!). A ton of places are very acommodating to that #.

as for paying...i'm still going around in circles. My parents are doing the hall and we are doing everything else. Rehearsal Dinner also FH's rents can't/don't want to chip in (they're divorced) (even though RHD is basically for his whole family too).

Congrats and welcome!

I have a 125 minimum...if you are intersted in only a Sat night...an rh will be more accomodating in the off peak months, otherwise a day or Fri/Sun night wedding, you should have no problem with that number.

We are paying for the wedding

my parents are giving us some money but we are paying for it mostly ourselves.

the girls on here pretty much covered all the rh i know so sorry im not much more help with that

Re: whos paying??

we are having our wedding at the North Ritz Club and have a 150 min. I think they would work with you with a 125 min if its an afternoon or fri/sun. Goodluck!

We also looked at Swam club and they seem like they would be okay for that # also.

my parents are giving us a little money and his parents are paying for the RD, other than that we are paying for everything

you said you are having more than 125 people? there are plenty of places that will acoomodate that.
we only looked at thatched cottage, sandcastle, venetian and flowerfield and all of them do over 125

There are a bunch of places that i went to and im looking at between 125-135 people. There are places out there get one of those location book and they give you all the minimums for each site. Dont stress just go to as many places as possible and enjoy. My FH and I have been having fun driving to these places and being pampered =)

Re: whos paying??

We're taking donations wherever possible! My mom is giving us a nice chunk of money to use towards it, and she mentioned wanting to buy my dress...we'll see though, I hate for her to spend money if she doesn't have it. KWIM?? FH is going crazy with the overtime, I'm going to ask for as many coverages as possible once I go back to work. The future in-laws said they would pay for RD and bag-pipers. Yesterday we went there and told them everything we're getting and threw it out there, that if they want something else they're going to have to pay for it.
