I've been a bridesmaid many times and I've always paid for my own hair and makeup, without a second thought. They also know they have to pay for it themselves from experiences being in other bridal parties. I agree it would be a nice treat if could pay for it for them, but alas, the $$$$ is just not there!

I have always paid for my hair and makeup as a BM...except once...and the bride's mother paid for it without telling me (I was expecting to pay).
I am only have a MOH, my sister. I plan to pay for my sister and my mom and FH's mom. It's the least I can do after all they've done for me.

I've been a BM a few times and I have always paid for my own hair and makeup. If I could afford it, i'd love to pay for my girls, but with 7 of them........just can't afford it!

They're all paying for it themselves. I'm letting them do what they want as far as hair and makeup, so it's really up to them whether they spend a lot of not.

I feel like I should, but I have 7 girls, plus my mom and FI's mom... my mom keeps telling me I'm silly and that no one expects me to pay, but to tell the truth, the last 3 times I've been a BM, the bride paid and I didn't even think about it. Now I feel dumb for not realizing that was a big (and expensive) favor from them... I assumed the brides usually paid.

I bought each of them gifts, plus I am paying for the hotel room we are staying in the night before. If they choose to have hair or makeup done they have to pay. I told them I want them to have hair, makeup I don't care as much. As long as the all look presentable. And they understand I just can't afford all that.

i also gave them the option of having there hair and done professional or not. i gave them great gifts and tried every way i could to keep there expenses low.

oops... I voted that I was paying but I meant to say that the girls will pay if they want their hair done... I think all the girls may just come to my house and do each others hair & Make up
