who's throwing the bouquet and garter at reception?
who thinks this is fun, and who think's it's out of style, or childish? any comments?
I don't know if we should do this, or not. Maybe just the bouquet....but it's always so fun to watch.
Just want to know who's doing it and who's not.

Im passing on it for personal reasons. I hated being dragged up there just because I was single. I vowed not to embarrass my single girlfriends like that so we are opting to do the anniversary dance instead.

We didn't - as the previous post says - I never liked it. Instead of that we had the groom's parents come out to the dance floor and we dedicated a song to them. We got married on 10/22 - his parents 49th wedding anniversary was 10/29. They loved it. We wanted to have the Dj play their wedding song - but we didn't know it (actually we found out that is parents don't remember either

OH ME I am definately doing it I think it is fun and we have some singles that are going to be in the house.

i wish i could do it i think it is fun but my girls may bring their'guy' friends and won't go up
and fh friends are too shy so no one will go up -we are just going to do an anniversary dance

Same here--- We did the anniversary dance too! It was so much more special and much less corny!

Not me I'm not comfortable with having my DH stick his hands up my dress to remove an article of clothing in front of family and friends! Besides, none of our frieds are single anymore or have steady sig. others.

We've decided not to do it...I hate being dragged out there at other weddings...FH feels the same about the garter toss

I may throw the bouquet but not in a ceremony type of way. I will probably do it as the guests come in from outside after the cocktail hour. Short, sweet and no big announcement...

I think its funny, and gets people to participate, not even just the ones that are catching, but the whole crowd.

We did it and had so much fun. People were saying how they loved seeing us do it because no one does it anymore. It is such a personal decision. We did not do the part of whoever caught the bok had the garter put on.

We did and it was soooo much fun when DH'd friend sat in the chair and pretended to be me. The pics are self explanatory..especially when our daughter removed daddy's blindfold since everyone was laughing at him
Most of our guests knew each other so the ick factor was minimal but I have seen this go way wrong where twop people who dont know each other are forced to interact and that can be awkward.

I will throw a bouquet..but I don;t like the garter thing I never did...it always made me embarrased for some reason at other people's weddings! I haven't discussed it with my FH but my vote is bouquet toss yes...garter no..that's just my opinion

I love the anniverary dance thing...I saw that at a wedding las year and I thought it was such a wonderful thing...especially since so many people are getting divorced these days
