I've heard mixed feelings on the whole toss from alot of people. Just wondering what you ladies are planning on doing during your reception. Some people think its traditional and fun. Some think its embarassing for the single folks and wastes valuable reception dance time.
FH and I are still trying to decide.
Your thoughts?

i don't care either way, but FH seems to really want to do the bouquet and garter toss...so i guess we'll be doing that!

I think I should rephrase the poll question...I think most people get 2 if they are going to toss...just wondering if people are throwing or not.

Yes Im throwing.. I think that brings a lot of laughs and fun to the reception.. some of the elders may not think so but oh well.. cant please everyone

I think now a days, when you do it, you can have your flourist make a seperate smaller BOK so you don't have to throw yours. FH and I will not be doing it. I just hated how I felt when I was single, being dragged out of my chair to try and catch the flowers.

I am throwing my bo-K but I'm not really into the garter thing which my MOH doesn't get, in my family it's the same deal... my 15 year old cousin catches it and some older woman gets the bo-k and it's all weird. Ha ha! Maybe it's just the story with my family. There are never any single guys other than the super young cousins. Ha ha!

I did it and it was really fun. Beforehand I thought I wouldn't want to do it, that none of the guests would stand up for it... but I'm so glad we decided to..it was great!

I am tossing a sample of mine....not my actual one...i like tradition. Plus I think people look forward to that part of the wedding. It's fun to watch.

I cant picture anyone going out there to catch it .. maybe 4 .. so I've been thinking about having a box with all female names and all male names and i pick from the female names (married or not ) and my fh picks from the male names. the female gets the throw-away-bo-k and the male gets the garter( that i am not wearing) and each bo-k and the garter will have like a five dollar gift card to starbucks or something!
originally i wanted to throw each to all females and all males regardless of marital status but figured people are too stubborn and stick too much to tradition that they still wouldnt go out to catch it.
