my dad will be the one walking me down the isle. i'm not a very religious person or stuck in tradition but this is one custom that i dont want to change. My FH will be waiting up front at the church while dady and i walk down the isle.

I am having both of my parents walk me down the aisle. My FH is going to be up at the front the whole time. Unfortunately both of his parents died so them walking him down the aisle is not an option.

that i quite the dilema.... i wish you luck on that b/c that isn't easy. but i'm sure you'll figure out something that work for you guys

hmmm this is something I have been thinking about a lot since I've gotten engaged....my father passed away May 2009, and I really don't have a clue how to approach this, anyone in the same situation? or have any advice?

Do you have a brother?? or a close older male in the family uncle, cousin, god father etc

For those without an involved dad, what about your mother?

If againist that, I know people who were walked down by brother in laws or uncles...a thought!

When I told my FH i was thinking of having both parents walk me down the aisle he said cool, i'll do that too!

He's Latin btw. What a biter! Lol.

I think I want Mommy & Daddy walking me down the aisle. My mom is my best friend and wouldn't want to leave her out on the happiest day of my life.

Otherwise she doesn't get the grand entrance she deserves

I would like to do both.. but my parents are divorced and its just weird to me... im wayyy closer to my mom then dad but im trying to keep certain parts of my wedding traditional

My dad is walking me down the aisle... he's had a lot of medical problems while i was growing up, and had open heart surgery a few years back, and he was never fully sure if he would make it to see my wedding. Funny thing is, I think he's in better shape then I am!!

But I never considered my mom... she definately will need to be recognized, as she's so excited about this wedding, she was never sure if I've ever agree to get married.

no brothers, my uncle (from my moms side) is also my godfather so I guess it would be him, no other surviving relatives on dads side...
