Who's wedding is this anyway?
MOH and I have been best friends for over 14 years. I'm her daughter's godmother and I love her like my sister. With that being said, I'm very close with her immediate family and very social with her extended family. For the last 14 years, I have attended functions with them and so on. I'm always hearing from my MOH how much they enjoy my company and how happy they are for me that I finally found someone who makes me happy-yadda yadda. So, I decided to send them all an invitation to our wedding. Especially since this is more like the 'final good-bye' (I've already moved to another state and I'm returning to NY for the wedding).
My MOH told her family that I was going to invite them and all but 2 out of the 5 (couples) were receptive about it and questioned why they would be invited (she actually told me this) so, she told me not to send them invites. Just to send invites to the 2 that would love to come.
I'm somewhat hurt that they don't want to come but, I'm over it already. MOH claims the reason for not coming is babysitting issues, money issues and basically they don't know me well enough. I'm sorry, I guess I'm just to nice afterall, I've just known them for 14 years.
I don't think it's right to invite 2 out of the 5 and I think it's rude for my MOH to tell me who to invite regardless of whether or not it's her family.
She just sent me an email telling me to add her Aunt's daughter and take away another Uncle of her's.
I didn't reply and I don't plan on talking to her about it. I'll just yes her to death but, I'm going to send all 5 of them invites whether they like it or not.
