and what the price your paying? I looking for a DJ, but don't want to pay over $1K if possible.

Re: Who's your DJ
we're using Tommy's Tunes. They have a great reputation.
I think it might be hard to find a DJ for 1K. maybe a basic package, with just a DJ. no MC.

Re: Who's your DJ
Paying under $800 one man DJ/MC only since we're only having about 85 people.
Frank from FM Entertainment....we highly recommend him, we didn't want an in your face annoying DJ, just someone laid back and he fits the bill perfectly!!!
Vinny from High Voltage also comes recommended on this site and is also under 1K

Re: Who's your DJ
we got a great deal with yours.. its let us entertain you, we are getting so much with our package, screen that shows baby pic's of us, when the guests are eating , then he goes around with a camera during cocktail hour then puts the people at our wedding on the screen, we got customs when the different songs come on, favors, hand outs, mc and disc jockey then we get all dvds of the party, with the video baby montage, guest montage, lights etc... its a great deal... i think we are paying 1400 for all this..

In the Mixx tried to charge me 1500 for the above with a rose thing they do and a basic light show. They were 'giving me a great price' because they are a house vendor. I didn't fall for it. I ended up with Ultimate Sounds DJ because I needed a bi-lingual DJ & MC and the price was great! 500 less than In the Mixx.

Re: Who's your DJ
I have heard about a DJ with a percussionist- How does that work out?
and what the price your paying? I looking for a DJ, but don't want to pay over $1K if possible.
Vinny from High Voltage. DJ $700, ceremony & CH $250. Those are list prices, and he didn't jack up the price on me to do music in THREE different locations.

Body Rock DJ. I have heard nothing but great things from anyone that has hired them.
