Attn 09 book clubbers: hey everybody, hope you all had a nice weekend! I just want to do a quick update regarding our book choice (hope everyone was able to get it.) If you don't know already, our book choice is The Next Thing on my List by Jill Smolinski. I also wanted to figure out how our discussion would work. I think our main discussion should be at the end of the book so that everyone can read at their own pace, but I think it would be nice to set a schedule up so that all those who want to discuss throughout can do so also. What do you think of this: 10/06-10/13:Chapts 1-8(discussion board set up on the 13th) 10/14-10/21:Chapts9-16 (discussion board set up on the 21st) 10/22-10/29:Chapt17-25 (discussion board set up on the 29th) 11/01 Chap 26 and final discussion board I don't know if I have alotted too much time or not enough time (I'm a super fast reader, but I took into consideration everyones busy schedule)-please leave your opinions. Also, can you also let me know whos still in? Thanks girls!

I actually wasn't able to pick up the book this weekend but I'm going to go today! I really think the schedule you set up is perfect!
Maybe we can also post a new poll for the next book like a week before our final discussion so that we know the next book to get!

i'm going to have to sit this one out. i'm swamped with essays to grade and i still haven't finished choke.

I am on chapter 6 of the book and I am actually surprised at how funny it is, considering! I have laughed out loud a few times on the subway now!
How far along is everyone else? I have to commute on the Subway and hour each way for work so I read a LOT.

Well I told you that I am super fast reader and I have had a lot of Dr.s appointments in the last 2 days. So I have read all of it. I won't give away any spoilers not to worry!!! Happy reading!!!!!!!

wow! seems like everyone is getting pretty far in their reading! I'm enjoying the book so far (I hope its not as predictable as I suspect) I'm beginning to think that maybe I should revise the timeline-does anyone feel that I've alotted too much time? I'm up for suggestions. Cant wait for our first discussion.

I know I can probably finish the book by the end of the week but I also realize that a lot of people are really busy and have work and school to juggle... I guess if the majority of the people are getting far along in the book we can push it up? If not, we can always just hold off on discussions until the time line date. Either way is fine with me, I am pretty flexible!
