Re: Whose doing the
I think that you give the groom a seperate cake because the whole wedding is mostly about the bride, so this particular cake is about him. Something like that lol, its suppose to symbolize something about him or something in his life. For instance, if hes a basketball fan you may get a cake made in the shape of a basketball . Im not too sure if I will do it, but if I do it will be in the shape of a dog, hes a veternary technician

Re: Whose doing the
The groom's cake is traditionally a SOUTHERN tradition, but has since been adopted by brides that want everything!! really, it's not needed...although a nice idea, but really it's more common-place in the South.

Re: Whose doing the
I might do something cute for him at our 'Welcome Dinner' (not doing a rehearsal, so calling dinner the night before something else!).

It may not be needed, but it really is something nice to do for the groom. After all he needs to feel special too.

Re: Whose doing the
I will probably do it at the RD, but I kinda want to incorporate both of our teams into it so I am not sure if it realy is going to be considered a 'groom's cake', especially if I order it myself.

Re: Whose doing the
we're not. It's really a Southerner thing, and we're a bunch of immigrant Europeans. No one would even know what it is!
