I'm so upset becasue I'm actually working on Christmas Eve this year! I have days to take off but my days roll over so I'm trying to roll over as many days as possible for my wedding & honeymoon.
Who else is working on Christmas Eve?

Re: Whose job is actually open on Christmas Eve?
My job is open for a half day. I'm just taking a 1/2 day vacation though so I don't have to come in at all.

Re: Whose job is actually open on Christmas Eve?
I'm working X-mas Eve (but I'm Jewish, so it's not that bad)...also working the day after X-mas, NYE and the day after New Year's. Oh, and I had to work the Friday after Thanksgiving, too. Whenever the stock market is open, we're at work. Argh.

Re: Whose job is actually open on Christmas Eve?
Just found out that we can work either New Years Eve OR Christmas Eve...and we are closed the day after Christmas, so I'm off Christmas Eve... that's a 5 day weekend for me! Wooo! LOL ... Sorry...my luck NEVER works out that well!

Mine is open on Christmas Eve, but I just found out that everyone wants to take off on Friday, so I 'offered' to be off on Christmas Eve and cover for everyone else on Friday

I am
A lot of places give two days for christmas...and because it falls on a weekend this year...its better to give off the day after xmas than xmas eve.

Re: Whose job is actually open on Christmas Eve?
We are NEVER open on the Eve but for some reason, this year we are getting X mas day off and the day after. So I am working on the eve until 12PM.
