I am a hand wahsing FREAK!!!!! I am a teacher and work with little kids. I am always reminding them to wash their hands and I constantly wash mine. Luckily, at work, everyone washes their hands when they go to the bathroom. It's the parents who come to visit the school that you have to worry about! I caught one not flushing and she ran out of the bathroom with out washing....YUCK! I wouldn't touch the door handle with out a towel in my hands. I wish we had our own staff bathroom.
My DH knows better than not to wash his hands with me. He is sick of me reminding him!

I worked in an office where a woman had 'problems' controlling herself or something. One day I attempted to go into the ladies room and there was poop foot prints (heel mark and all) leading out the bathroom and out to the hall. Well, you had to see the stall from which she came from. It looked like it came from an episode of Beavis and Butthead. People were actually getting sick from the smell. Women were following the tracks (like Inspector Kleausau) to find out who did it. It's one thing if you are accident prone, but to blast out the entire stall and leave it where it landed and then WALK down the hall with it all over your shoe is just sick!! Needless to say, I took off for the fast food restaurant next door!

What about people that let it all go while you're in the bathroom? I can't stand when people let loose their gas and you hear it sputtering like an old car down the street. What's even worse is when you can tell (or know) who did it. How do you face them later in the day?

Its just that there is this lady here who no joke has like 4 inch fingernails, its borderline discusting.. there the longest things i have EVER seen.. i have no idea how she gets through life with them.. they could even be longer that 4 inches..so gross...she goes to the bathroom and NEVER washes her hands...i will not TOUCH a single thing she does!!

don't you just love the bathrooms where you don't have to touch anything??!!
you stand up the toilet flushes, you get soap (that you have to touch), and the water comes on at the perfect temperature, and the towels spit out when you pull them...

Yuck!! I have seen bathrooms where people leave the pee on the toilet...I mean really what would it take to clean your pee?! I mean it is yours, you made the mess, clean it up! I don't get people sometimes...I wonder what their cleaning habits are at home!!

I forgot to tell you this story...I had to go to the urologist the other day and I had to give a urine sample (sorry if tmi) but the person before me didn't flush the bowl....how disgusting can you get? Needless to say I took a paper towel and put it on the lever and flushed the toilet....cleaned my hands and did my business....crazy!!

To the person taht said why can't people just sit on the seat.... why would you want to sit on a germ infested seat???? A lot of bathrooms don't have the seat covers (i don't trust those anyway!!) I hover, but i have good aim and I clean up if I make a mess!!! Why can't people clean it up?? Takes 2 seconds!
THis is gross--- where i used to work, there was someone who had their period and left some on the seat!!! I pretty much knew who it was and i so badly wanted to tell her to clean up her blood!!! Instead we put a sign in the bathroom that said if you make a mess, CLEAN IT UP!!! others have to use this too!! hehe

gross thread...we had to put up signs at work too. It takes 2 seconds to look back and see if u have flushed it all down- why not do it????
I always wash up then take a towel to shut the faucet and open the door.
Too many people that dont wash their hands..GROSS
and I, too always have hand sanitizer on me. when commuting I w3ould not eat my bfast at work until I lathered up at work.

Possibly rude, but if i shake someone's hand that I don't know...I always when they are gone run to the bathroom to wash my hands off.
Not to say that ppl who don't wash their hands aren't acting gross and unsanitary but...
I want to just say women seem to go nuts about germs and I'm pretty sure it's a fact that ppl who are OBSESSIVELY clean (yes I take showers every day, and wash my hands lather up w/soap after bathroom, and do wipe off the seat and sit on it)
could possibly be preventing their body from knowing how to fight off infection and they could be more prone to colds and stuff -
has anyone else heard this ...
like w/little kids you WANT to expose them to other kids illnesses so they'll have a stronger immune system.

Eww, I definitely hover. There is NO WAY I am putting one-ply cheap toilet tissue between me and the disgusting seat/bowl. Of course if I make a mess I clean up, but I can tell you most of the time the mess is already there.
There was this one guy I used to work with that felt he had to announce his restroom routine to everyone in the office. Part of it included completely removing EVERY piece of clothing! So then every day at 10am (and he was clockwork) when he passed by the receptionist to get a newspaper all we could think about for the next hour was 'Bobby' in the mens room naked on the throne reading the Times!!! Ahhhhhhh
