I dont get why sand ceremony kits are sooo expensive. I think $50 for a piece of glass is a little excessive!

Couldn't you just buy small class containers and bags of different colored sand at a craft store?

Once I saw how expensive they were...I switched to unity candles! Seriously...$80 for sand art? Pass!

Why not get the containers at michaels (ar any arts and crafts store), get colored sand, and then buy a cork? You can even embelish the cork a bit if you would like, to make it nicer looking...
I know they have those at craft stores as well!

If thats the case, then I will be hitting Jones Beachy this spring and personally picking up the sand on their beach and putting them into my bags..its FREE!

I was having the same issue. If I have the time when I get to NY I´m just gonna DIY. Although FH really liked this heart shaped one with a cork that we saw. (He picks the oddest things to be fussy about!!) It is nice though.

Yea, I was planning on DIY'ing this. I'm afraid to have unity candles b/c our ceremony is outside & on the water so there will most likely be a breeze...so I feel like the sand is a better option for us.
