Why Am I Having Monetary Problems with Companies Today?
Ahhh, I just was looking over a credit card statement, and I got charged about $85 from a spa that I had cancelled with. They charged me for not showing up. I had been trying to put a spa party together for 6 people for a bachelorette thing because my friend was getting married.
Well, I remember calling a week and a half before and asking to book us for an amount of time. Then I remember asking when they have massages available, but they only had it for two slots available in a four-hour period, at 2:30 and 4. So I said I'd call back. Well, when I called back, they said the 2:30 was already taken, and the 4 was open. So then I just decided to cancel it.
Well whoever I talked to had put me down for the 2:30, and when I cancelled the party, didn't realize the 2:30 appointment was part of it. Now I am waiting for the manager to call me back. First the cable company, now this. But I definitely don't think this is my fault. Maybe it was a misunderstanding, but I shouldn't be stuck paying.

call your credit card company and dispute the charge...
they will ask the spa for an explanation...and then they may ask you to provide something...so write down the information that you remember the date you booked...the date you cancelled, etc...
most major cc companies are good with this

Yeah, I am just waiting for manager to call me back to see what they're going to say first. I'm not getting nasty yet until they officially tell me they won't credit my card. Then I will have to do the disputing.
I think it's pretty obvious that I booked for a party and assumed when I cancelled it, everything that was down for me for the party would be cancelled.
