Why am I having SUCH a ahrd time choosing a wedding song?!
I want something classic, but not to outdated....I was going to use Bryan Adams, 'When you love someone' OR 'I'll always be right there'... But I also like Linda Ronstadt & Aaron Neville 'all my life'.....then I think I don't like either anymore.....this is tough!!!

You're not the only one! I'm having a hard time too. The original song I wanted and actually still do is 'After All' by Peter Cetera and Cher, but my mom picked it for her wedding song when she got remarried last year and it's at the end of my sister's wedding video recap so she's not loving the idea of me using it. I listen to the XM Love station every morning on my way to work hoping I'll find the perfect one. I'll let you know if I do
ETA: Did you see the thread for 2010 brides wedding songs??? I just noticed it. Maybe that will help.

me too. I wish so bad that we had 'a song'. I want to find something thats perfect. We have known eachother 15 years and only started dating 2 years ago and got engaged this summer. I wanted to try to find a song that had that message that he was there the whole time and I dodnt notice. The only song that came to mind was 'When You Sang to Me' by Marc Anthony and I hate that song. So frustrating!

Your not alone! We hd SUCH a hard time... might have been the most difficult decision for us...do a lot of looking online and a lot of listening! You will find it, don't worry!

We had the WORST time deciding on a song and they only reason we have one now is because we chose to go with my parents song.

Lisa, I will go with something that reminds u of each other. thats how I chose our song. The words just say something I feel about our relationship. And then go out and search those concepts and words that will best describe the feeling and the vibe of ur relationship.
Also, do u guys have a song that u both love? maybe that one?

don't worry FH and I are in the same situation. This one song that had meaning to us when we first started dating is not exactly a wedding song lol.... we may just end up picking 'don't wanna miss a thing' by aerosmith b/c FH likes that band.

Not really having a hard time.... but i think the song we wanna use no one will know....which could be a good thing i hate hearing the same wedding songs over and over again. You will think of something. Download Pandora on your computer and just keep listening to songs.

omg!!! this was my hardest decision so far that i actually got depressed thinking about it LOL. so you are not alone. i too wanted something really classic but had lyrics that meant something and i also liked the melody. so hard, i know. im sorry.
We finally chose, Rod Stewart- Have I told you lately. We chose it because it was simple enough but not cheesy, and its a classic and we loved how it sounded.

We were in the same position, until I popped in an old mixed cd I had and Taking You Home by Don Henley was on there... we both really like that song, and the lyrics and tempo are perfect... Also, it's not something I've heard at a wedding before, which is nice.
so if anyone wanted to 'borrow' it...

its def tough.. all my life I thought i would have love of a lifetime by 'firehouse'.. cause lets face it Im an 80's chick at heart.. BUT, since music is very important to me I wanted something more meaningful and the perfect lyrics to summarize me and FH's 13 years being together...
I came up with 3 so far..
