Why am I thinking up all these thread ideas now that we have past our 3 million mark???
But, just curious - what was your very 1st LIW post about?
I did a search for mine by typing in my name (can you tell I'm bored at work?) and discovered my 1st post was about my FH being laid off - I think I was lurking for a while and felt it ok to share, and needed support - he found another job a few weeks after - but I'm surprised no one thought I was a for being so dramatic - I am also surprised how comfortable I felt sharing, but I think at the time I felt I had no one to turn to, and the thread was already by a woman who's FH was in danger of losing his job...
so here's my very 1st post...

Just want to let you know, my fiancee just got laid off last week. Of course, we were devastated at first, but he was so miserable there for the last 2 years, we keep reminding ourselves that something better has to happen.
I'm not saying it isn't devastating - it is - but as long as we have each other, we are safe and healthy, and we have a strong relationship, we know we will get thru this. I mean - talk about for better or worse, huh? The fact that this is happening when we should be in la-la land now just reminds us that we are still very much in reality, and nothing can faze us once we are married. My fiancee has 2 kids, so there are other issues in place that makes this all very realistic for me, who has no children of my own!
Good luck, but remember - even if he does lose his job, at least you have each other - he'll need your support and strength, that's for sure!!! '

I am having a cinderella invitation. However, Since it is a disney character I cannot use the word 'Cocktails' on the reception card. I was thinking of playing off the cinderella logo and using- Join us for an enchanted evening beginning at 7.... PLEASE HELP!!! any other suggestions?!?!?!?
That was mine back in oct/nov. in the vendors helping brides forum... thats pretty sad.

Mine was in 04!! Of course, it dealt with indecisiveness...I chose Bliss in case anyone was wondering...

Lol, we actually had a thread like this once before!! Mine was on the 'Official 06 List', I just asked for my name to be added. That was my first post, and I haven't been able to stop since!!!!

'I am getting married at Jericho Terrace as well. The recommended vendors I received were Flowers by Brian and Pedestals. You can see all of the vendors on their website under 'Planning'. '
I think it was pretty informative for a first post!! I remember I was so scared to post it. After hanging around 'the knot', I didn't know what to expect.

Yeah apparently the company has a contract with disney ( found out after I placed the order) that they cant suggest drinks... They wanted me to use pre - party.. I told them that im not having some rinky dink party Im not using that- so I emailed disney itself and they confirmed it! I couldnt use it- So we ended up using:
Enchanted evening begins at 7 pm Reception to follow carlyle on the green Bethpage state park farmingdale new york
Its sooooo funny how you cant suggest drinks b/c disney is 'Family' oriented but Little mermaid can have her ta tas poppin out?!?!?
