Why are BM's such a pain? Why must they be so DIFFICULT!!!

They didn't have to accept. I asked my FSIL who is a BM to get measured. She called FH the other day and said, 'tell Jaime to just order me a size 16' She has never been measured for a dress in her life. I told FH no way, she needs to be measured. I am not going to order her a 16 and then it not fit the right way and then hear her complain and cause problems because she's stuck with a dress that doesn't fit. I know she is NO SIZE 16. What a pain. I wish I had never asked her. She is sooo lazy. It will take til my wedding to get her to get measured. ARRRGH!!

trying to look at it positivly.. if she is smaller than a size w16, maybe she just plans to get it altered herself...

Unbelievable..... tell her she only has one shot to get the size right and BM dresses are not the same size as regular off-the-rack dresses!

Tell FH to give her a 'kick-start'

Butterfly, thats the thing. I know she is not a 16, she is on a diet, but I don't want to take any chances. FH doesn't want anything to do with it, he told me I need to call and deal with her. She is a really dizzy girl. The way I feel the dress should be ordered a little bigger for alterations, plus the wedding is not til February. What if she gains weight by then. I am going to tell her she needs to get measured. It is not an option. I don't want her yelling at me when she pays and gets a dres that doesn't fit her. She has never been in a wedding before, I have and know that bridesmaid dresses seem to run smaller than a dress that you would buy in the store.

order her a size 22.. then let her get it altered right before the wedding

im not having that problem with bm dresses(my girls will get them off the rack).. but my 2 BM are flat chested which is limiting to the style..

Unfortunately, I have to order them online, 4 of my BM's live in Florida and won't be able to come up here before the wedding to go out and look for dresses.

send her an email like this(if its not too rude sounding)...
I can order you a size 16 if thats what you like, but please understand if you do not fit it the day of the wedding there will be no way to correct it, and all my bridesmaids must match in the same dress'

I like that idea butterfly.... as long as the bride is OK with this, then it seems like a good solution.

BTW.. I just finished my BM & I had to get a different company for one of my girls & the sizing was completely different.... she is at least 20 lbs lighter than me & about 6' shorter & she was only one size smaller- so you never know!
