Why are business women anti-social????

In my mba program, there is about 40% of women in my class and almost everyday there are 'happy hours' after class to mingle/network...

But it seems that most of these happy hours are attended mostly by men (regardless of their married/single status) and very very few women...

Why is that? To give you some perspective, out of 20 girls in my class, may-be 5 or so came out to the happy hour.

Maybe they have kids and feel a sense of obligation to go home

Maybe they feel this will hurt their image as professionals to be seen drinking in a bar

Maybe they feel weird without significant others

and the best one yet

Maybe when they drink, they get really stupid and are afraid of their bad behavior

I work in a financial institution and all the MBA women are so snotty. It is horrible. There is one executove who needs to make it a point she has a Harvard MBA, who cares, that does no mean you have a good personality. It is a phenomenon. Women just get ahead of themselves alot of the time.

I actually really enjoy the happy hours and mingling with the classmates... Its fun.

But some things are better discussed amongst women only, and I wish I was able to form some connection with my peers.

I don't think ALL the girls are snobby in the program

probably because they are like me - they prob work FT and then go to school at night or whatever - and just want to go home! I am not being antisocial, its just that I am exhausted at night. ( I dont go to grad school but I am assuming that would be me!) Maybe they are not there to make friends but just to get their degree.

we realize you did not say all, but enough of them to make you take notice of such a thing is too much.
