Why are my BMs being so retarded when it comes to giving me their measurements?

I am ordering my BMs dress, because I'll get a discount if I order them together (and the BMs are all over the country).

So, I've been asking them for a couple of weeks for their measurements, and told them not to worry, that if they lost weight, it's not a problem for the dress to be taken in.

One girl asked me if I could mail her a Lazaro size chart, and then she'll tell me what size she needs. WHat's the BIG DEAL with giving me measurements? It's so retarded/

Another girl told me that she doesn't want to give them to me until she looses a little weight (these girls are not BIG, they range from about size 2 to a size 10 (one girl is probably a 14 or 16, but she has no problem with giving me her measurements).

I DON'T GET IT?!!!!

All I can say Kathy is, here's where the fun starts. Next it will be waiting for people who don't reply to invites, jealous people, those who don't realize how much you put into wedding planning etc.

I am so glad I am almost married, I am so sick of this planning!

Unfortunately, you are not alone!

At first, I wanted to try to help my BMs as much as I possibly could. I asked about everything from if they wanted me to hire hair and makeup people . . .to shoes, to accessories, to . . . .just name it. 2 out of 7 girls would give me responses while the others would convienantly ignore me. I've stopped being so 'helpful' and I have even had regrets for having such a large BP.

I hope they give you the info that you need soon.

Yeah, it's totally the body insecurity thing...what the heck do I care about their measurements?

THat's just petty stuff they need to get over...I'll share my measurements if it makes them happy!!!

I dunno why peeps have to act like that. The main 1 giving me grief is FSIL!

I just got everyone except her measured yesterday. Tell the girl who doesn't wanna give up measurements that she really has no choice cuz if she screws it up she'll be stuck w/the dress.

My MOH normally wears a size 12 - well somehow according to Watters & Watters size chart, she wears at size 18-20 She had to pay an extra $40 for 'oversize' on her dress! I felt really bad cuz I tried hard to find good prices, luckily she was real cool about it.

But I've read several times on boards that for whatever reason, these size charts run a lot smaller. NONE of my girls ordered dress sizes that are true to their size (size 4 had to get a 12; & a size 5 had to get a 6 - she was the only 1 even CLOSE) if she orders the wrong size she'll just lose her $$ if it doesn't fit.
