why are some people so rude!
I honestly do not understand how vendors think that they can be rude to you when you are shopping around, and still expect to get your business.
Unless they just don't care because you're not good enough for them. Ug.
I was calling around for info on a caterer for my engagement party. We still have almost 3 months before the party, and it's just a simple backyard party at our house, and we just need buffet food and some appetizers and dessert - nothing fancy. So, there's really no reason for us to plan any earlier than we are.
I call one place today. First she gave me the run around when it came to pricing and menus and insisted that I see the menu before she give me ANY indication of what pricing would be (what a waste of time! If I can't afford it, I can't afford it!) Then, she asked me the date of the party, and when I told her, she says in the snottiest voice 'Well! You certainly are waiting until the last minute!'
The last minute? We have THREE MONTHS for a tiny backyard party! Give me a break! And it's an engagement party, not a wedding! My mom planned my uncle's 50th birthday party a WEEK in advance, and had no problems whatsoever! I've now spoken with 4 different caterers, and none of the others have even hinted that I'm planning a little late.
Then she emails me their menus, and ends her email by telling me that if I want to use them for that day, then I had better hurry up and call them back, because it's a busy day and we're booking so late.
Ug. Thanks. I know this is stupid and shallow, it just annoyed me and I needed to rant![]()
