Why are these things happening???
My 32-year-old co-worker just came back to the office after being absent for 2 weeks! Doctors found a lump in her breast, and it's malignant! Her mother passed away just 2 months ago from liver cancer and various complications from it! So, she does have bad heredity! She needs to have the lump removed and then possibly chemo! Can you imagine what a young woman must feel with such verdict! She has beautiful long hair!W T F! There is cancer everywhere! For God's sake, the girl is f88ing 32 years old! I am so upset! She is very nice and we were always on very good terms! Thank you for letting me vent!

Re: Why are these things happening???
I'm so sorry for your co-worker. The fact that they found it and can treat it is GREAT news. Early detection is key to everything. I will keep her in my thoughts and prayers.

Re: Why are these things happening???
That is very sad news. Most important though is that they found it early and will be able to treat her aggressively. Keep positive thoughts for her!!

Re: Why are these things happening???
Add me to the list of those praying for her. Please give her a lot of encouragement, bec. women are beating this. Personally I know SEVEN long-term survivors right now. Isn't that a staggering number? One woman was also in her early 30's and a Mom in the school where I was teaching. She had a 6 year old when it was discovered. We have since become friends, and she just celebrated her 7th year of being cancer free.
You are a good friend to care. I know you will be there for her. It will get harder for her before it gets better. All the best.

Re: Why are these things happening???
Cancer is cruel and uncaringI brushed up with that monster at 20. I had it removed and have been checked ever since.. Im still clean. I have a family history of just about every cancer known. It was a wake up call to me so young and only 3 months after my grandmother died of colon cancer, I had to call my dad to take me to a hospital for the removal surgery.
There's no stopping it before hand. You can only hope to find it early and get the right treatment. You can beat it or learn to 'live' with it.
My thoughts are with your co-worker all people who live with or care for someone with cancer everyday.

Re: Why are these things happening???
She's in my prayers! My aunt was diagnosed with breast cancer when she was 29. After 8 years she was cancer free and had 2 babies, when the youngest was 8 months she got it again in the left breast. She beat it twice! Tell her its not a death sentence she can beat itETS she has been cancer free for 11 years

Re: Why are these things happening???
oh jeez. how awful. I am so sorry for her. This is a hard road. But not a dead end. I am quite confident she is stronger in heart, sould and faith than any nasty cancer.
