Why can't I just pick a place?! HELP PLEASE

Original post by Bela

I know i've posted so many postings on venues and I can't do it anymore! I can't keep looking! i'm so tired of the whole routine of going to another place showing me around going over the menu yada yada. Either i love it but too pricey, I don't love it price good. I like it but too far, put a down payment have nightmares gotta get it back. what do i do!!

Ok So here is my new list... any comments, Criticisms, pricing, before i set out on this journey for hopefully the last time?

Beach Club Estate
F.E.A.S.T at Roundhill
Riverview Cateres
Villa Barone Manor -in the Bronx
Woodbury Country Club - went to see this already and i'm leaning towards it just to book something
Olde Mill Inn - Jersey
English Manor - Jersey
The Riviera in Massapequa
I went to see the Riviera in brooklyn and it sounds good but for the price i'd like to have a little more scenery.

I want an outdoor ceremony. something pretty not so flashy but pretty. trees, water, flowers, etc.
I have about 100 guest and i know most of these places require more but at what cost!?

Old Field Club is BEAUTIFUL I LOVE IT!!! but its almost 4 hours from my FH family.

Don't let that stop you!! I dunno if you're into it, but OFC is at least an hour (mostly more) from all my family and all FH's family is out of state...we're treating it like a destination wedding. There are a couple of hotels right near there (Danfords in Port Jeff is GORGEOUS) and the whole area is really beautiful...makes for a wonderful destination wedding.

Majestic Gardens?? they're one wedding at a time?! That was our 2nd choice!

Don't know if it's too far east for you but you might really like Trumpets on the Bay/at the Gate. And honestly, about FH's family having to travel 'too far'...anything over 1.5-2 hrs, people are going to get a hotel room. I have people traveling 45 min who are getting a hotel room so they can drink and enjoy it! Book wherever you want!

I saw West bury and Swan. FH didn't like Westbury because there were too many events going on. Swan club we like but someone said that there can be 3 weddings at once and you have to share restrooms???

Westbury Manor may have more then one event going on but they do an amazing job of keeping the events separate. Apparently there was a huge very loud family reunion going on at the same time as my wedding and we had NO idea at all. I did not see any one from the other party the entire night. My guests actually commented that they did not even know there was another party going on! My BIL was talking to a few people outside when he was leaving and told us what was going on the next day.

I Went to Chateau La Mer but i wasn't crazy about the 2nd floor. and when i spoke to one of the guys he said that eventually both parties upstairs and downstairs will be sharing the outside space. And i don't like that idea very much.

Are you sure about that? that doesnt sound right? do you know who you spoke with? b/c for 2 weddings 2 share the outside space at the same time would be ludicrous-which is why they stagger the times for the weddings there...

ETA: & they are also raising the ceiling on the 2nd floor this summer which is supposed to make the room look amazing from what I've heard. I had my wedding in that room last august & am curious to see what it looks like with the raised ceiling...

Yeah, this doesn't sound right to me either. I was told the exact opposite- that the two parties would never meet because of the way they time them.
