Okay, I know my wedding is almost 8 mos away, but I decided to start the invite search...again. I thought I knew what I wanted, but FH and I have a difference of opinion. I initially wanted pocketfolds (still do) black pocketfold, w/ aqua backing layer and invite wording printed on white. Well FH thinks black would be too morbid and wants it to be aqua pocketfold, black backing and white print layer. I personally think that will look to 'Sweet 16'ish.
Also, I know want something with more pizzazz, more spakle, more wow.
Any ideas? Suggestions??? TIA!

If you want my honest opinion..I just recently received a Black pocketfold wedding invite and I thought immediately it was oddly morbid. I really (I am not just saying this) thought it was becuase the bride and groom are young (20-21) and are 'alternative'. She is an awesome person and happens to also be into gothic stuff...so i chalked it up to youth.
Hope that helps. I think the idea that you FH is right on the money. It doesn't sound too sweet 16ish..

On the Brides Review Board I saw pocketfold invites in black with a bright pink ribbon. I thought they looked great. Nothing morbid about it to me.
