why do i get stuck in the middle??? (vent)

My mom and FSIL&FMIL are at war! it's about my shower. My mom wants to invite my 8 year old step niece (since shes not coming to wedding most likely), my FMIL doesn't want her there since they are planning 'adult' game type stuff. well they had a big fight about that and FMIL & FSIL felt my mom was looking down on them. FMIL wants me to say something to my mom (which i already have, even when i shouldn't have to) and FH told her to keep me out of it... i already know too much as it is. *SIGH*

they are both right in certain points, and both wrong also! i told them in the beginning that an 8 year old was being invited... but they don't remember that convo. but then again, not sure kids belong at showers!!

GRRRR!!! i can't freakin deal with this right now!!!

Sorry you are going through this. You should not have to deal with this for your own shower. I say try and stay out of it for your own sake and so you can enjoy your shower when the day comes.

Wait, did you say your FMIL and mother were 8 years old or your neice?
It's not fair they are putting you in the middle, but since you are, then maybe you should decide. Do you want her there or not?

Im sorry you're dealing with this. It stinks when you get stuck in the middle, but unfortunately, it's part of wedding planning. You should not have to be stressed out about your own shower. They are adults and should work it out on their own. Sorry I don't have any better advice.
