Why do I see so many senior citizens out??????? VENT
I was outside before, just taking a walk around the apartment complex in the snow, checking out the drifts, etc...
Well, I see like 6-8 senior citizens outside...one was trying to walk on the steps that were not shoveled, he had on no gloves or hat, and he could not balance and he tripped, and landed with his bare hands in the snow...he was not hurt, just could not judge the snow....I asked if he needed help, he said no, then tried to contineu down the stairs...I felt so helpless watching him, but also so aggravated that he was out....he just came out to check his mail.....That could ahve most definitely waited until tomorrow....he did not get it yesterday obviously. THen my neighbor across the hall is proably 78-90 years old, comes out with her garbage, I stepped out the door and said I will take it down for you, she said No, I want to go out. She proceeds to go out, can barely walk, and then goes to start up her car and clean the windows... Meanwhile, the wind is very wicked, and its snowing AGAIN.
I know they have self-pride and do not want any help, but don;t they know this is a risk to their health? I am so frustrated...they are proud of themselves, which is great, but I just wish they would stay warm and healthy and let the younger generation give them a hand.
