WHY do people cancel the WEEK of the wedding???

OK, if ONE more person cancels..

1st- FH's Uncle..'Has to watch the Dog' we found that out 2 weeks ago- FINE.

2nd- FH's Cousin has to tend to the store (his manager just quit... his Wife is coming solo)... found that out Wednesday... FINE

3rd- JUST now, My Mom's close friends daughter is sick in hospital- FINE (I TOTALLY undersdand and feel bad ) but am ANNOYED that they keep calling to cancel!!!

I would rather them just NOT show up, and I would NEVER notice them missing that day!!!

Now, i'm RE-doing the seating chart, the Alpha List and the Table list for the 3rd time to give to the stupid hall!

PLUS, this last cancelation made my LOWEST table of 8, down to a table of only 6 (there is NOBODY else that makes sense to sit here... ) so a HUGE table of 14 will have 6 lonely people at it... and 2 are single people (my dad being one of them) and 2 other couples... VERY WEIRD....

the rest are all higher than 8...

and there are NONE that would make sense to comibned, if we moved 2 away to another table...

That day I don't think i'd remember (we're talking about parents fridnes here, and FIL's cousins... like 3rd cousins...) so NO, i don't think i'd notice the DAY OF. looking back, I might be like 'hey... where was ... so and so...'... if it were MY firends I would notice... but not them...

The week of---one person (father died), one couple didn't show up at the wedding and a few people cancelled after RSVPing yes about 2-3 weeks before for varioud reasons....yeah I would just leave the tables, don't drive yourself crazy! Sorry to hear about this!

Hang in sue - people cancelled up to 2 DAYS before my wedding.

We are totally goint through the same thing. I've redone my votive place cards 3 times already!!! I feel your pain sister. BUT it's almost OVER!!!!

My friend had the same thing happen to her... I couldn't believe that people actually cancelled that close to the wedding

Funny you shoudl say this... one of my FH's GM is on HIS honeymoon right now, and we KNOW they were supposed to be home on Wednesday... well ,today the phone rings, and FH looks at Cller ID, and is like, 'Oh, it's XXX', I was like Don't even tell me he's not getting back in time...

Turns out he IS, but had his cell with him (they're in Alaska)... and had to call to ask someitng... but he's STILL coming... phew!
