There actually was a girl in one of the stalls the other day on her phone. I'm not sure if she was going, or just looking for a little privacy or what...but it sure was affecting my ability to go!!!!!

That would definitely ruin my ability to use the bathroom.

Someone at my job accidentally flushed her cell phone after it fell off the belt clip.

Note to self: another reason not to wear cell phone on belt......

I hate that as much when people bring food or beverages into the bathroom.

ewwwwwwwwww!

I once answwered my phone in a crowded rest room in a hotel, but I was washing my hands, so I took my call outside.

I just didn't want to miss it , b/c it was my birthday & I was in Chicago on a business trip & I was lonely.

Ewwww indeed!

I can understand taking a call under those circumstances, but in my building, the bathroom is this weird refuge for them. Talk outside! ETA' and leave your food in your office!

I never understood that either. When I was working at the ballet, I walked in the bathroom and there was Twyla Tharp (you know, Movin' Out choreographer Twyla Tharp) just chillin and eating her lunch...

It just doesnt' seem sanitary

Re: Why do people feel the need....

Hey, how about people trying to give you a cell to talk on while you're in the bathroom? At my baby shower, my cousin tracked me down in the bathroom. I hear this bang-bang-bang on the stall door and I was like 'Ummmm, someone's in here'. I really had to go because it was after the gifts and the kid was kicking me in strategic places. So I hear my cousin shout over the wall 'Oh, it's Laura...I have my Mom on the phone and she wants to talk to you!'. Her mother lives in Florida and this is the woman who DEMANDED my cousin leave her bridal shower to go visit her in the hospital (she was there for a week prior to the shower) so she could give her the update. I was sort of pissed (literally speaking) and was like 'Can I finish up in here?' and she replied while passing the phone under the door 'here, you can talk to her while you're in there'
