Because they are embarrassed by what they said and the fact that they are really not such a good person. I think very often we (meaning people in general) say things behind someone's back because saying it to their face would a)hurt their feelings a lot or b)we don't have the guts to face their response or reaction or pain that we cause.

i try not to just b/c it always gets back to them anyway..and i hate when people do it to me...but some people absolutely live to doit...argh!

People have no clue about the sense of loyalty in friendship!~

Loyalty is one of the most important qualities to me in a friendship.

The only good thing about knowing that someone talked behind your back is that then you know who are dealing with and you can end the relationship.
