Why do people take it..

upon themselves to invite themselves with a guest AND their child???? There will be no children attending the wedding except FH's neices and nephews but they are an exception. I don't mind that she is coming with a guest it's more so the child. FH doesn't understand that I don't want kids at the wedding. He said well if she doesn't have anyone to watch him then she can't come...I said 'not my problem' Am I being a beyotch?

I know how you feel I threw FH a huge 30th Birthday last year booze galoure a Loud Rock N Roll cover band the whole works. I was very clear with the no children part. I said the ONLY children that would be there are MY own and my SIL's kids because it was their fathers party also. (They are twins) My FMIL took it upon herself to tell her other family members that kids were OK I told her no she told me that it is her family and she can invite who she wants those are her sons.

I told her she wasn't paying for the party so it was NOT her decision. Needless to say her whole family showed up with kids one with a NEWBORN. Then they had the nerve to complain that the music was TOO LOUD and the party was TOO WILD>

I said that is why kids were not invited can't get a sitter don't come!

SO FF to Halloween we are all at my FMIL talking about the wedding and I said there will be NO KIDS at my wedding ONLY MY OWN! SHe started again I said listen WE not you paid S40,000 for this wedding and you paid for NOTHING you haven't offered a damn thing so my wedding my day my way!

I feel your pain I would be PISSED TOO!

HOLY! Thats so bad. But i know what u mean. FFIL wants all of his families kids to come. So we said we cant just invite your sides kids. I would have to invite all of my side & it would be 30 kids. Im not having 30 kids running around my dance floor. NO WAY. Thank fully FH & FMIL took a stand & said no way to him. Its not a venue for children. Its a Saturday evening late night affair. NO KIDS! Hes been fine ever since. lol

No I don't want kids at my wedding either. I would call her and let her know that it is an adult reception. Who is it? afamily member? or friend?

It's Fh's first cousins son. he is I want to say 4 years old. FH is not seeing my issue in having kids come...he said well we don't have to pay for them...BUT IT'S NOT THE POINT!!!

I know that is they other thing mine starts at 8 pm ch and the reception is at 9! I am bringing a blow up bed because I think my own kids aren't going to make it LOL
