Why do people think that it is ok to use a cellphone in the bathroom?

I will NEVER understand that- no one wants to hear you pee or crap! Not only that it is so rude to everyone else, especially those of us who have shy bladders and are preggo! I just went into the bathroom-AGAIN and my coworker is on the bowel babbling away as she was peeing! I could not go, I had to walk out and walk down a flight of stairs to the next bathroom

I would not care if a person was on the phone, while I was in there...but I'd hate to be the person on the other end who has to hear that in the background...Gross!

Oh I hate to admit this, but the other night when I was on the phone with you (in between jobs), I was utilizing the bathroom during the conversation Hey, a woman on the go has got to go I was hoping you wouldn't hear anything

Jamie, I think it is silly too. Maybe it's cause I would never do it, especially at work!

FH does this to me alllll the time. He'll call me from his HOUSE...we'll talk for a few, then a hear FLUSHHHHHHH. He's a multi-tasker, can't just do one thing at a time! ahh I love him for it.

I don't do it all the time! I just didn't know how to tell you discreetly that I would call you back because I had to pee! I figured if I made enough background noise, you wouldn't hear me I was rushing from one building to the next.

EWWW..I had a friend wh would do that, we'd be talking and talking and I'd hear FLUSH and be like ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww....I could never ever do that!

while my sister and were away in college we used to do this all the time. BUT only to each other and only in the privacy of our apartment bathrooms!! i can't do it with anyone else, i would feel as though they can see me or sense what i am doing!!

I always thought it was funny to go to a public restroom and hear someone using their phone. I've heard of multitasking but that's a bit too much.

i dont see the big deal. who cares?! myob... besides if theyre talking on their phone and you have a shy bladder, then they DEF wont hear you.

I was talking to my friend one day and I asked him why he sounded so strange and he said he was in the bathroom...and I thought ti was nasty....First thing that came to my mind was that I am never borrowing his cell phone or his house phone...then to make matters worse he tells me he is grading his students papers...Now that was nasty.

Talking on the phone in a public bathroom is weird.

I do on occassion use the bathroom while I am on the phone at home. Sometimes the conversation is too good to tell the person to hold on. I just put the phone on mute use it, flush and wash my hands. The person on the phone never knows.

At home is one thing, that is your house do as you will. In a PUBLIC bathroom you should be considerate of the PUBLIC. I don't want to hear your conversation and your friends don't want to hear me use the bathroom. It is rude and inconsiderate nothing more!
