take the tags out of the dresses. I went to one bridal shop yesterday and one dress i liked has no info, no clue who makes it and another dress that i liked had no tag and was $950 or $980. Today I went to another bridal shop and the same dress had the designer tag in it and was $890. Why do they do that with the tags, is it some kind of scam? I'm confused

Re: Why do some stores...
I think because they don't want you buying it cheaper online. At least that's what I thought. And I don't blame them to be honest. But I fuond that if I was nice to them, they would tell me who made it.

But when your actually dress comes in, does it have the label or no label?

Re: Why do some stores...
It does have the label but please please PLEASE be very cautious in these stores. I went to one, found the dress of my dreams but not at the price of my dreams - they wanted $2K for the dress so I put it out of my mind. Found it later for $650. Here's a thread about it...
My dress came with the label and everything when it came in. It all depends on the bridal salon you go to. Just do your research and if they won't tell you who makes the dress, don't hesitate to tell them you will under no circumstances buy something that you don't even know who made it. All the bridal salons that I went to would refer to the dresses by their maker, such as Oh, that's a Maggie, or that's an Eve, and so on. Anywhere that is so secretive isn't worth your business anyway.

Re: Why do some stores...
Thank you so much. I was starting to think I was crazy that it upset me that they cut the tags. The place was really nice and the people were helpful but I got a funny feeling how they were so secretive about who made the dresses.
