Why does everyone need to tell you....

about the last wedding they went to or their kids wedding and what I should do at my wedding!!!!!!!

i went to the dentist for a cleaning before the wedding, and she asked me why i was in cuz my last appt was 5 months ago, so i tell her to have it done before wedding and she started in.....

telling me about all the things at the last 5 weddings she went to, what they did that was 'so great' and what she did and didnt like....etc

i dont mind a little wedding talk but not while she is reaching in my mouth with sharp metal cleaning instuments!!!

i just wanted to relax!!!

I am sure my FH is getting that from allll his friends. I am the last one of my friends to get married, he is the first of his. And I am only 1 year older than he is. Just goes to show you the difference in thinking about getting married between men and women...

I just DO NOT get people who think marriage as an institution is a bad idea. I mean, there are people I know who are in relationships for 10 years and say, 'I'm never getting married.' WHY? What's gonna change when you are married? in all honesty, if you have a good relationship, nothing between the couple should change. I mean yes, you buy a house, you have kids - and that stuff can and will change you - but it shouldn't make you think that marriage stinks, etc - and you can do all those things without being married! It's just a piece of paper, essentially. Yes, it means more than that and we all know what it signifies - but for people who are in long term relationships to say they refuse to get married, I just don't get it.

if the person was single and telling me they refuse to date etc, that I can almost understand because they have had problems, etc. (still a commitment problem I am sure but it's understandable sometimes). KWIM???
