I feel so bad...he looks all comfortable...but if I move or get up...he jumps off the couch to follow me...then he'll lay down by the kitchen if I am in there (he knows he's not allowed in there when I am...although with DH its different)

My cat follows me around too...I swear, she's really a dog.
jenn...thats a good theory...elvis either gets depressed and mopes to our bed if we are near the door...or he goes crazy and tries to bolt out the door...

I think most dogs do that with their female owners. When I lived with my sister her dog use to follow her around anywhere and sometimes even waiting outside the bathroom door for her. When she wasn't around he will follow me...and does the same thing with her mother.
he follows me into the bathroom too...and lays down on the floor mat!!!

My Dog does the same thing, he looks so comfy curled up with me on the couch... and i am afraid to move sometimes.. and when i go to the bathroom hell go in with me and lay on the mat!! he sits at my feet in the kitchen... its not depression, its natural i think cause hes a pretty happy dog.. and in the middle of the night if i get up to go to the bathroom he wakes up to come with me.
my dog growing up never did this...but I guess since I wasn't the head of the house...
so good to know...DH keeps joking that we need the pet psychic to see whats going on...

awwwww my dog does the same thing. she'll be sleeping in front of the fan and be all comfortable, but if i get up she follows me wherever i go. she also follows me into the bathroom and lays on the rug.
this could lead into another thread...how much do you do in front of your dog...I do everything...shower...bathroom...dress...lol...he really gives me no choice

Ericka my dog is the SAME way. I go take care of business in the br, behind me follow Benji. He knows when I am going to take a shower when I take down my robe from my door. If I am eating he sits in between my feet. He watches me dress all the time. Then after I am finished he goes under the bed. This I find very weird... Your dog loves you.
